The e-Way Bill and e-Invoice System have enhanced the scope of crucial security feature known as 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) by extending the same to  taxpayers who have an Annual Aggregate Turnover (AATO) exceeding Rs 20 crore effective from November 20, 2023.

This requirement follows the earlier implementation for taxpayers with an AATO of over Rs 100 crore, which took effect on August 20, 2023.

Accordingly from November 20, 2023, it is compulsory for all taxpayers with an AATO of more than Rs 20 crore to utilize 2FA while accessing the e-Way Bill and e-Invoice System.

This update has been announced on November 6, 2023 at https://einvoice1.gst.gov.in, which aims to bolster the safety and maintain the integrity of the platform.

Main users can create sub-users and update their mobile numbers in the system. Sub-users can be granted permissions for generating, cancelling e-waybills, or other options. Main users can monitor the activities of sub-users.
